| Answer: | All MCLS classes are conducted at UW-Madion's Humanities Building at 455 N. Park Street in Madison. Please note that we use this facility for classes only, do not send any correspondence to this address. | |
| Question 2: | Where can I park when attending MCLS? | |
| Answer: | Parking on campus can be hectic and challenging sometimes. Only recently the university changed its parking rules again. As a result, very few places around Humanity offer free parking on Sundays. At the current time, the meters in the underground parking at Helen C White is still free on Sundays. Memorial Union offers limited parking spaces. The parking lot by the University Square has free parking spots. In addition, metered parking is available underneath the new Business School Building (at the corner of University Avenue and N. Brook Street), although you need to pay even on Sundays. On Lake Street, there is a public parking ramp which charges $1 or $2 on Sundays. | |
| Question 3: | How can parents help? | |
| Answer: | MCLS is a non-profit organization and many people volunteer to work for the school to make it an affordable and fun learning place. All the members of the board are unpaid. The school could use more volunteers from the parents. You could help the school in different ways. Check the "willing to help" box on the registration form to let the board know where to look for help when needed. You can also indicate the skills you have that may apply to teaching at MCLS. Provide inputs to the board on teaching/learning and school operation issues. Actively participate and help organize the school-sponsored events. In order to get parents more involved with the school, we have started to experiment the Parent Duty program. You could help by signing up on the Parent Duty schedule sheet that is posted on the door of Room 2611 on Sundays. |
